Kindness | Pastor Steven Pettis Jr. | The Fruit of the Spirit

In this message, Pastor Steve continues the study of the Fruit of the Spirit by exploring the biblical meaning of kindness. Far more than simply being nice, kindness is a Spirit-produced reflection of God’s own character. Through Titus 3, we are reminded of who we were before Christ, lost, deceived, and separated from God, and how everything changed when the kindness of God appeared through Jesus Christ. God’s kindness was not passive sympathy, but active mercy that pursued, rescued, and transformed sinners.  

This message reveals that the kindness believers show to others is rooted in the kindness they have first received from God. As we remember the grace, mercy, and forgiveness extended to us through Christ, the Holy Spirit produces within us a heart that moves toward others with compassion, patience, and grace. Because biblical kindness is not weakness or compromise, it is the visible evidence of a life that has been changed by the kindness of God.
