Encounter Leads to Invitation

What happens when someone truly encounters Jesus? In John 1 we see that a real encounter with Christ never stays private; it leads to a testimony and an invitation. John the Baptist points people to Jesus, declaring, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” Those who hear this message begin following Christ, and one of them immediately goes to tell someone else.

In this opening message of our new series Finding the One, we explore how the gospel naturally spreads from one life to another. Just as Andrew brought his brother Peter to Jesus, believers today are called to point others to the Savior they have encountered.

As we move toward Holy Week, this message challenges us to consider a simple but powerful question: Who is your one? Who in your life needs to hear the good news and be introduced to Jesus?
