What Has Your Heart?

What are you trusting to give you security, satisfaction, and significance? For many of us, the pursuit of more money, possessions, and comfort can quietly become the very thing that captures our hearts. But Jesus reminds us that what we treasure reveals where we place our trust and ultimately directs our hearts.

In “What Has Your Heart?”, Pastor Steve continues our Generous by Design sermon series by examining Jesus' teaching in Matthew 6:19–21. We discover the danger of storing up earthly treasures that cannot last and the invitation to invest our lives in what the Father values.

Through the stories of the rich fool, the rich young ruler, and Ananias and Sapphira, we are challenged to examine whether our possessions have become our source of security, whether our attachments are keeping us from obeying Christ, and whether our generosity is motivated by God's glory or the approval of others.

True generosity begins when we recognize that our greatest treasure is not what we possess, but what we have received through Jesus Christ.
