Even in a Storm…

In this message, Pastor Steve walks through the disciples’ experience in the storm to reveal a powerful truth: the evidence that we belong to Christ is not the absence of difficulty, but continued dependence on Him in the middle of it. Even while obeying Jesus, the disciples encountered resistance, fear, and uncertainty, reminding us that obedience does not exempt believers from storms. 

Through Peter stepping out onto the water and Jesus’ words in John 14, this message shows that storms often expose what we truly depend on. While fear distorts perception and causes believers to lose focus, Christ continually calls His people to trust His presence, move toward Him in dependence, and walk in loving obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit. Because the Christian life is not about pretending storms do not exist, it is about learning that we are never alone within them.
