Confident in the Keeper of the Work

Nov 16, 2025    Pastor Steven Pettis Jr

In a world full of spiritual noise, competing voices, and subtle persuasion, the believer needs more than self-confidence; we need Christ-confidence. In Galatians 5:10, Paul reassures a shaken church that their hope is not in their ability to hold on, but in God’s power to keep them. Though false teachers were sabotaging the gospel and unsettling hearts, Paul anchors them with this truth: “I have confidence in you in the Lord.”

In this message, Pastor Steve reminds us that the Christian life is a work God begins, sustains, and completes. When your confidence is rooted in Christ, sabotage can’t stop you, sin can’t separate you, and Satan can’t snatch you out of His hand. From justification to sanctification and glorification, the Lord Himself preserves His people and finishes what He starts.

This sermon will strengthen your assurance, steady your faith, and call you to deeper trust in the One who never abandons His work. Come and be reminded: our confidence is not in our performance, but in the God who keeps His promises and keeps His children.
