Because I Love You, I Won’t Withhold the Promise
This Christmas season, we’re reminded that the birth of Christ was not a random moment in history; it was the fulfillment of a divine promise spoken from the very beginning. In this message, Pastor Steve walks us through Luke 1:26–33 and shows how God’s plan to send His Son was rooted all the way back in Genesis 3:15.
Through Mary’s story, we see how God chooses ordinary, imperfect people to carry out His extraordinary plans and how what was physical for Mary (carrying Christ in her womb) becomes spiritual for us (carrying Christ in our lives).
This sermon highlights the consistent faithfulness of a God who keeps His promises. Even when humanity failed, even when we weren’t ready, even when we didn’t understand, God still gave. Because He loves us, He didn’t withhold the promise.
As we journey through Advent, this message calls us to reflect on the hope, the mission, and the miracle of Jesus’ coming and how we are now invited to carry that promise forward.
