Because I Love You, I Won’t Live Without Purpose

Christian freedom was never meant to revolve around self. In Galatians 5:13–14, Paul teaches that freedom in Christ is not the right to do as we please, but the power to love as God commands. True freedom leads us away from self-indulgence and into Spirit-empowered love that fulfills God’s original design. From Moses to Jesus to Paul, Scripture shows that love for God must overflow into love for neighbor — a love that protects, restrains, serves, and reflects the holiness of God in our relationships.

This message launches our mini-series, “Because I Love You, I Won’t…”, beginning with the foundational truth: Because I love You, I won’t live without purpose. Through Galatians 5:14 and the vivid picture of the willing servant in Exodus 21, we learn that our devotion to Christ is not forced, but chosen. We have been freed from sin to belong to Him, to love Him, and to love others with sacrificial intentionality. Gospel freedom is not passive — it is purposeful. It calls us to live marked by love that moves, serves, and reflects the Savior who first loved us.
